The glass district

Swedish glass is famous all over the world. Most of the Swedish glass is produced in a small area around Kosta, a small town east of Växjö. This is the Swedish glass district. Here over 20 glassworks can be found, all of them are open for visitors. Well-known names of Swedish glassworks are Kosta, Boda, Orrefors, Skruf, Bergdala, Johansfors, Bergdala, Sandvik and so on.

If something goes wrong during the process of making glass, the four steps are followed by a fifth: the glass is dumped into the container you see on the picture.
